In order to achieve its goal of providing individuals with developmental differences a variety of social and recreational opportunities, Southern Maryland Community Resources offers many programs to its members at little-to-no cost through partnerships with businesses, schools, religious groups, and organizations in our local community.

Come out and enjoy a movie with refreshments for free! Movie Night is offered once a month on the 1st Friday of the month.

Movie Night provides members an opportunity to view a movie appropriate for all-ages and meet other individuals from our community.

On the 3rd Friday of the month, join SMCR for inclusive bowling fun at Bowling Night!

For only $12, members will have the chance to enjoy 2 hours of bowling – this includes the shoe rentals!

Go head-to-head with SMCR on the 4th Friday of the month at Game Night! This is the newest social and recreational program on Friday nights from SMCR.

Come – and bring and friend – to play classic games like Scrabble and cornhole. This event is free!

Healthy Movers ProgramMOG

Join SMCR for a workout as a part of the Healthy Movers Program hosted at Medically Oriented Gym. We’re there every Wednesday!

You can participate in this hour-length class with other SMCR members for absolutely free!.

Art to Heart Creative Artsslider 2

Get a chance to show-off  your creativity by joining SMCR for Art to Heart Creative Arts! During the school year, we partner with local high schools to offer this award-winning program to our members.

At each free session, members will have a chance to work directly with high school students in a variety of engaging creative activities.
